About Us

IMDMI is the umbrella organisation that provides funds for Shed Happens Mackay. It also organises celebrations of International Men’s Day annually on or near 19 November. This Art Show is an initiative of IMDMI as is the award of Mackay Man Of The year for which nominations will be called for in September also. SHED Happen Mackay provides a safe non threatening environment for men to tell their stories, the good bad, happy and sad.

The ethos of Shed Happens is ENCOURAGEMENT. As our founder often said, “No bloke ever went backward with encouragement.”
